Summary of the INVEST-HOTEL 2011 Trade Fair

A wide offer for the representatives of hotel industry, access to the latest solutions and a comprehensive program of workshops and conferences with the participation of specialists - are unquestionable advantages of the INVEST-HOTEL Hotel Equipment Trade Fair which took part in Poznań  For three days from 19 to 21 October 150 companies presented their products. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Economy, Waldemar Pawlak.

For 12 years Invest-Hotel is a place of business meetings for suppliers of products and services for hotels, guesthouses, resorts and Spa.   Each year the fair are visited by professional audience, including investors, hotel owners and managers, owners of recreation and leisure facilities, architects and interior designers. This year's exhibition at INVEST-HOTEL fair for the first time was located in two pavilions 7, 7A located in vicinity of TOUR-SALON tourist fair which took part at the same time. On the area of over 7000 m2 150 companies from Poland and abroad presented their products.  Among them there are leaders of the furniture industry: Bogatti, Emma, GO IN, Jarocińskie Fabryki Meblowe, KMK Klose,  M.I.L. System, Meblomak,  Noti Contract, Paged  Meble and Meble Vox, which exhibitions attracted visitors with their originality and exquisite taste. At fair the offer was also presented by suppliers of equipment for SPA, among others: Ada Cosmetics, Biosana, BTL Polska, Centrum Sauny, Grupa Zendar, Klafs and Wandex. Products and solutions for hotels and interior finish systems were also presented by: Ceramika Paradyż FG Poland, Invado, Lanwar, Lsi Software, MCM Computer, Newmor,  Polmaster and Witpol.

Talks with investors

Poznan International Fair has once again become the arena of business talks withrepresentatives of investors from the hotel industry. INVEST-HOTEL fair was a good place for exhibitors to establish business relations in the industry. The B2B CONTACT ZONE by means of which the visitors could make an appointment with specific exhibitors and take advantage of a range of facilities, among others free admission and parking at the fair site was a valuable convenience for professionals.

Place of effective meetings
 

Poznan Fair in addition to interesting meetings with companies operating in the hotel industry, offered visitors a diverse program of conferences and workshops.  This year the main emphasis was put on issues related to ecological solutions for hotels. The idea of "Energy Contracting" - ecological and inexpensive method of supplying hotel facilities with thermal energy, the heat pumps and electrical power engineering solutions that can be used in the hotel industry could be heard during Friday's conference, prepared by WBB Energy.  The ways of improving financial result of a company from hotel industry in the area of energy management, which go beyond the well-known programs of improving the efficiency of lightning, thermomodernisation or environmental marketing were discussed during the seminar entitled Energy management
in the environmentally friendly hotels.

With a view to hotel owners, architects and prospective investors Balance Education developed three conference segments hosted by Adam Antonijczuk from Hostia consulting company. The examples of building emotional projects on the basis of study visit to selected hotels in the world were presented during the meeting "Emotional project - uniqueness by authenticity". Practical aspects of creating a new environmental project AURELIS hotel - a chance to get acquainted with the process of creating design and implementation of investor opportunities - were presented during AURELIS panel - Heart of Polish Vitality. The conference on creating a professional historical brand and historic urban objects boutique B&B type attracted many listeners.

During the fair, the visitors had also the opportunity to hear a presentation on maintenance of SPA centres. During the presentation of the Polish Institute of Spa and Wellness the visitors could learn about solutions and development directions for the Spa hotels. The experts gathered at a conference organized by Project Hotel advised how to manage risks, i.e. threats
in the operation of SPA centres and about investment decisions in such facilities. Does the SPA hotel have to be Eco? How to run Eco hotel marketing? Organic-SPA or Design-SPA? – the speakers gathered on the panel prepared by Comfortum answered these and many other questions.

The programme of the fair was also enriched by the Chamber of Commerce of the Polish Hotel Industry (IGHP).  The conference block consisted of five panels conducted by qualified teachers - representatives of member companies (IGHP): business- tax aspects of hotel investments in Poland, tools helping hotels manage on-line sales (Chanel management), sensory marketing and ecology in hotel industry.


Medals and awards

Granting prestigious awards is a tradition of the Poznan International Fair. On the first day the MTP Gold Medal was awarded for the best product and the Jubilee Medal on the occasion of 90th anniversary of the fair.

The Jury awarded the MTP Gold Medal to four products, which meet the highest requirements in terms of quality and innovative technologies:

  • Exclusive salt sauna, Grupa ZENDAR sp. z o.o., Lublin

During the award ceremony the Polish Chamber of Hotel Industry was awarded the Jubilee Medal in recognition of long-term cooperation and commitment. For contribution to development of INVEST-HOTEL fair the medal was also awarded to other exhibitors.

The Acanthus Aureus jury also distinguished the stands of exhibitors, whose design and preparation, contribute to the implementation of their company's marketing strategy, help to create a positive image and at the same time allow efficient communication with the market.
